Mother Nature at her BEST…Avocado & Olive oil

In all foods – find the deliciousness of life itself!

“It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature!” I still remember when they began advertising vegetable seed oils and margarine, with this captivating by-line, complete with comical scenes of Mother Nature, indeed being “fooled” by these industrial made imitations. Now some 60 years later, we are reaping the consequences of these choices. Sky-rocketing chronic disease is driven by the inclusion of these unstable, non-nutritive, life-threatening vegetable oils.

And this is why: While the plant from which the seed comes from may have nutritive value to you, the process of extracting and refining their seeds results in extremely unhealthy oils. In nature, the vegetable seed has been carefully protecting the fragile polyunsaturated fatty acids within, with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. However, what happens to those seeds once they enter the Industrial process for extraction and refinement, is far from healthy and a contributing factor in the chronic disease epidemic.

These highly processed oils are extracted from soybeans, corn, rapeseed (canola), cottonseed, sunflower and safflower seeds, with 80% of all seed oils coming from soy.

After the seeds are harvested, they are subjected to extremely high temperatures and pressures that oxidize the fatty acids, creating byproducts that are harmful to your health.  To remove the last fraction of the oil, hexane, a toxic solvent is used.

The result is a brown, smelly, rancid liquid. And now more high heat is applied as steam, destroying any remaining vitamins and natural antioxidants. However, pesticides and solvents will remain.

But wait, there is still more heat applied at this stage as they add chemicals to dry, and degum the sticky mess, then deodorize it before adding dangerous industrial antioxidants. Finally, after 5 high heat processes, they are ready to bottle, and sell to an unsuspecting public.

Clearing vegetable seed oils from your family’s diet is powerful step toward health and longevity. Don’t be fooled by the advertising!

Step one: Remove these oils from your pantry!

Step two: is to read every label! If they include any of these seed oils, avoid them. Even Organic and non-GMO foods continue to include these unhealthy seed oils. Be the consumer that speaks with your purchasing power, as well as reaching out to companies and requesting that they include healthy oils, like Olive and Avocado oil in their products.

Your Health depends on it!

The dangers of Vegetable Seed Oils:

• Raises your omega-6-to-omega-3 fatty acid ratios, with significant consequences for your health.

• Unstable and oxidize easily when exposed to heat, light and air.

• Polyunsaturated fats are easily damaged and are bottled already oxidized – creating free radical damage.

• They contain harmful additives. For example, hexane is used to extract some seed oils and is often present in the final product.

• They are not nutrient-dense and contain no Vitamin A or E, like olive oil.
